MRD "One Nation Under a Tube" Heritage Logo Bobble Hat - Limited to 20 pieces

This 4 colour MRD original design is knit in a slouch style with soft acrylic yarn. 

A step back in time using MRD's original logo from 1982, seen first on the MK1 number plates Tim designed and cut by hand for himself and friends in his parents kitchen. You can see the plate and old logo on the newspaper photo the hat is pictured on.

This is the very first time this logo has appeared on any product since then and the first time MRD has ever made headwear, of any kind, so we are excited to bring this product to market in very limited numbers.

MRD has always been about doing things properly. Small runs, carefully made, and built around making products that we are proud to put the MRD logo on, working with suppliers that make exemplary products that are built to last. These hats are premium quality and made here in the UK with love and care. 

This Bobble Hat continues that idea. Made in Britain by the legendary "Wonky Woolies" company who we have chosen for this small production run. it carries the original MRD logo above the navy blue cuff as a simple statement piece for riders who know where the brand comes from and what it stands for. Above the MRD logo is Tim's take on the legendary Album by Funkadelic "One Nation Under a Groove", making reference to fine tunes and the connection MRD BMX has with bikes, forks and bars made from steel tubing.

This hat has a double layer of acrylic yarn on the turn up to add more insulation on your ears.  The rib structure hugs your head with soft yarn.  Each of the pattern areas use two contrasting colours knit together to make them pop. The hat is unlined to accentuate the slouch style.  This hat is standard size, designed to fit most adult sized heads.  The dimensions are 23cm wide and 31cm long unfolded from the bobble to the base.

Acrylic Yarn

Acrylic yarn is extremely soft, it is non fibrous and vegan friendly.  Wash the hat at 30 degrees.  We recommend to turn it inside out to protect the hand sewn pompom.
